Founder of Chrysalis Coaching & Development
“I have worked with Sandra for more that 10 years and know her to be exceptionally professional and passionate about whatever she does. Sandra does many things for our organisation: She inspires and instructs our students, facilitating CTI’s Co-Active Coach Training programs all over the world; she continues to train coaches in our Certification Programme; and more recently, Sandra has also been on our audition team where we bring on new talent into the organisation. Her insight, wit, commitment and professionalism has and will continue to be a major asset to myself personally and CTI in general.”
Director of Training and Development, CTI
Chrysalis Coaching & Development also works with a select number of highly trusted, experienced and accredited coaches and facilitators on projects.
I’m Sandra Richardson, the founder of Chrysalis Coaching & Development, a company I set up in 2001 because I’m passionate about helping people to grow and transform in both life and work.
Over the past fifteen years or so, I have coached hundreds of people in boardrooms, front rooms and at retreats. I also lead professional Co-Active Coach training programmes across Europe, the Middle East and Asia for CTI, the largest and most respected coach training organisation in the world.
Grow in confidence
One of the aspects of coaching I most enjoy is watching how people grow in confidence when they are supported and listened to, and how dramatically this newfound confidence can transform all areas of their lives, no matter whether their coaching was work related or personal. This transformation is almost magical and it is always an honour to watch it unfold and be part of the process. Building confidence is therefore a cornerstone of all the coaching work I do, from start-up coaches to CEOs of blue chip companies.
Before becoming a coach, I worked in Public Relations, Human Resources and as a Career Development Manager, so I have extensive experience of managing change and facilitating communications in the business sector. My corporate history has ensured that I am as at ease coaching someone in an expensive suit as someone in jeans; I am able to see through the job title to help the person underneath make meaningful changes in their life and work.
My biggest love outside of coaching is travel – anywhere at all but particularly to places I haven’t been before. I was privileged enough to combine my favourite things earlier this year when I went to Cambodia with a coaching colleague. We spent time working with PEPY Empowering Youth, an organisation that provides education programmes for children in the Siem Reap area, leading coaching skills workshops for the teachers who worked with the scheme. This led to ‘Coaching Angels’, a new project I am setting up to link volunteer coaches with worldwide charitable organisations who need coaching support.
When not coaching or travelling, I can usually be found enjoying time with my friends and family, going for a walk at the seaside or relaxing in a pool somewhere. If there’s good food involved, so much the better!
